The historic timber frame house is one of the most beautiful houses in the Canton of Schaffhausen. In 1684 Tobias Holländer bought the "Hof zu Hova" and built his aristocratic residence there, the famous Holländerhaus. Next to the house is the barracks, in which he appropriately housed his bodyguard. Tobias Holländer was the most influential man of his time on the Schaffhausen City Council.
