The historic Rex Hotel Saigon (Vietnamese: Khách San Rex) is a luxurious 5-star hotel considered a symbol of Vietnamese hospitality.
The hotel is located in the heart of the city center on the famous pedestrian street Nguyen Hue (141 Nguyen Hue Street). It features four facades facing the pedestrian area.
The building's history spans over 90 years. Originally used as a car garage, it later served as a library and, during the Vietnam War, as accommodation for US officers (Bachelor Officers Quarters) before being converted into a hotel in 1975.
