This extensive jogging loop takes you through the varied landscapes of Allentown, from the natural beauty of Cedar Beach Park with its willow trees and Lake Muhlenberg views, to the green spaces along the Little Lehigh Creek. The route offers a mix of paved and gravel surfaces, providing a consistent yet engaging experience as you pass by an arboretum and potentially spot wildlife like ducks.

Planning your visit requires noting a significant closure: the historic Bogert Covered Bridge is undergoing rehabilitation and is closed to all traffic, including pedestrians, from September 2025 through at least August 2026. A temporary pedestrian pathway is available to navigate this section. The 13.2-mile (21.3 km) route, with 351 feet (107 metres) of elevation gain, is rated difficult and takes about 2 hours and 13 minutes, making it suitable for experienced joggers.

This loop is part of Allentown's larger interconnected trail network, offering a family-friendly environment with amenities in Cedar Beach Park. The Bogert Covered Bridge, built in 1841, is one of the oldest covered bridges still in use in the United States, adding a historical landmark to your run, even with the current construction detour.
