Lower Drautal at the level of Feistritz towards the northwest The Rosental near Ferlach
The Drautal runs predominantly in a west-east direction and is one of the three large longitudinal valley furrows in Austria that are associated with geological fault lines of the Alpine mountain formation. In the border area of South/East Tyrol it forms a piece of the Periadriatic Seam.
