The Hollenbeck Canyon Wildlife Area is full of great singletrack and double-track trails for running. They are all really well-packed dirt with some grassy areas. The hills aren't as steep as some of the mountain trails that are around the area, so this is a great place for road and trail runners, alike.

This 6,100-acre nature preserve has some nice trails featuring trees, chaparral, and views of Otay Mountain and the Jamul Mountains.
