This difficult route takes approximately 6 hours and 31 minutes to complete, offering a rewarding journey through varied landscapes. As you ascend, you'll traverse serpentine grasslands and blue oak woodlands, with creeks winding their way towards Mount Diablo Creek. The true highlight awaits at the summits of Mount Olympia and North Peak, where you'll be treated to expansive panoramic views of the surrounding bays, rivers, and cities. Keep an eye out for Donner Creek Falls along the way, adding another scenic element to your adventure.

When planning your visit, be aware that this route features very steep sections, some with loose gravel, making supportive shoes with good traction essential.
