The fortress bridge K 616 is one of the largest structures with sliding drawbridges and one of the last to be built on the MRU. To cut the wort, the bridge was raised slightly and relocated to the abutment on the west side. The bridge is connected to a weir with a permanent water dam. The water was dammed through a steel hatch instead of a series of stone slabs, Brzegi did not receive a reinforced concrete cover but was enclosed with steel walls. In front of the bridge there used to be a tank trap to stop light vehicles
