The East Reef Trail is popular as an equestrian path and has some great views. Connecting to Historic Babylon Trail and Little Purgatory Trail, it is a good add on for a longer hike. There are some interesting petroglyphs to be seen along the trail as well.

These petroglyphs are likely from the Anasazi peoples, also known as the Ancestral Puebloan peoples. They can be seen on the south wall of rock gap along this path.
