On the northern slope of the Cacciatore peak on the Pellegrino path which leads to Monte Lussari (1790 m - Luschariberg), which has always been the destination of many pilgrimages by Italian, Slavic and German believers. The unique place at the summit with bars and small shops shows the attraction of the Marian pilgrimage church and the place for pilgrims and hikers alike.

Embark on the Pilgrim's Trail to Monte Lussari, a moderate hike covering 5.2 miles (8.3 km) with a significant elevation gain of 2403 feet (733 metres). This route typically takes about 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete. As you ascend, you will journey through the ancient Millennial Forest of Tarvisio, where the path steadily climbs. The trail offers a spiritual atmosphere, marked by the Stations of the Cross along the way. Reaching the summit of Monte Lussari, you are greeted by expansive 360-degree panoramic views of the Julian Alps, including peaks like Jof di Montasio and Jof Fuart. A small alpine hut awaits at the top, providing a place to rest and soak in the scenery.
The trail begins on an asphalt road that is closed to public traffic, so you will need to walk from the start. This initial section transitions to a macadam road before becoming a marked footpath through the forest. Be aware that during winter months, the route is often covered in snow, and you will need crampons for safe passage. Plan your visit accordingly to enjoy the best conditions.
