Pietro Consagra, who designed it in 1976, defined it as the first frontal building that comes from my proposal for a frontal city with buildings that privilege the observer in the first instance, buildings as frontal works of art. It is a large-scale sculpture that is outlined with curved and continuous planes and projects its transparent scheme onto the two parallel fronts, overcoming its practical functions, as stated by the author himself.
