Cycling
The Deurzerdiep begins in Schieven, where the Amerdiep and the Anreeperdiep flow together, and then flows north past Deurze. The canalized part curves to the west and flows into the Havenkanaal, a branch of the Noord-Willemskanaal. The original Deurzerdiep winds through the area west of Kampsheide and merges into the Looner Diep south of Loon.
The area around the Deurzerdiep is part of the national stream and village landscape Drentsche Aa.
