Hiking
The Customs Officers' Trail is a historic coastal hiking trail originally used by customs officials to monitor the coast. Today, it leads hikers along steep cliffs, rocky coastlines, beaches, and dunes, offering impressive views of the sea. The trail combines nature experiences, cultural history, and photo opportunities, and is suitable for both leisurely strolls and more challenging coastal passages.

Hiking
The film documentary »Grenzwege – der Zöllnerpfad« states on its corresponding website: “The historic customs officers' path, today one of France's most popular hiking trails, begins at the famous pilgrimage mountain Mont-St.-Michel. Over its 1,700 kilometers, between Mont-St.-Michel in the north and St. Nazaire in the south of the Breton peninsula, impressive landscapes with a rich flora and fauna are waiting to be discovered. Past rugged cliffs, vast dune landscapes, and seemingly endless beaches, hikers become border crossers of a floating border that changes with the rhythm of the tides.”
