Originally built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, this amphitheater has played host to many events over the years.

These days, it's mostly used by trail users as a place to sit and rest. The nearby scenery is excellent.

The Papago Amphitheater is an old 3,500 seat amphitheater that was originally built in the 1930s. It isn't in use any longer.

The trails accessing the amphitheater are the Butte Trails, which offer the best views on the west side of the park. The trails are a bit hillier and rockier, but they are usually a little less crowded, too.
