In the Baltic Sea resort of Warnemünde, the love locks were attached to the station bridge in front of the steering wheel for a long time. In order to protect the mechanics of the historic bridge, the locks had to give way during a bridge renovation and a new location had to be found. The new location for love locks in Warnemünde was a bollard system on the Alter Strom right across from the Vogtei. In the vicinity of the water, newlyweds can now indulge in this custom immediately after the wedding, which is supposed to bring good luck.
