Protzen's tenement house was built in the first half of the 15th century. It gained its current shape around the mid-17th century, when the warehouse floors were converted into apartments. It was then that the tenement house acquired the existing gable decorations referring to the decorations of the tower of St. Mary's Church. According to Berghaus, this house was the only one left after the fire of 1635, of the six medieval gable tenement houses standing on Großmühlerstraße (Polish: Wielkomłyńska). These houses belonged to wealthy merchants and, in addition to residential functions, they also served as warehouses.

Road cycling
The house was built around the mid-15th century. Originally, it consisted of a high ground-floor part, which was separated, among others, currency exchange office, and several warehouse levels. The wall plane was filled with the so-called the "Stargard blende", taken from the decoration of the north tower of St. Mary's Church. The tenement house was rebuilt around the mid-17th century and then in the 19th century. In 1945 it was destroyed. In the years 1951 - 1959 it was rebuilt.
