Cycling

The life-sized sculptural group of six children in traveling gear represents the moment of waiting for the ferry to take them from Rotterdam to the UK. Except for a seated boy, the view of the standing children turned towards the water. They have luggage such as suitcases and backpacks with them, as well as a stuffed animal and a violin case. In addition to the seated child is a newspaper page of the Dutch newspaper The Dutchman with date of November 11, 1938 and the words Allowing German Jewish Children and thousands of Jews to leave Germany (Wikipedia).
