Is it really a swimming pool? The entrance is dazzling with mosaics!
The reason: during the inter-war period (1918-1939), Rennes became one of the major mosaic production centers in France. In July 1926, the Saint-Georges swimming pool was inaugurated in Rennes. The architect, Emmanuel Le Ray, decorated these mosaics according to the "Odorico" model.
The swimming pool has been listed as a Historic Monument since 2016.
