The 'Foreshore Trail' leads about three miles along the beach ('Acadia Beach', 'Wreck Beach' and 'Oasis Beach') around the Point Gray Peninsula. The walk offers scenic views west of Georgia Strait and north west of Bowen Island and the entrance to Howe Sound. From 'Acadia Beach' the route to 'Trail 3' runs over a rocky strip of coast with no discernible hiking trail. The 'Foreshore Trail' can be walked up to 'Trail 7', where a steep wooden staircase leads up to the 'University of British Columbia' or the university's botanical gardens.
