During restoration work in the Piesendorf parish church, an art-historical sensation was discovered in the attached St. Michael's Chapel: wall paintings of magnificent and inestimable beauty. The painted inscription is clearly legible as the name “Michael”, the year is recognizable as 143 (?). The paintings are surrounded by decorative stencil frames.
