The Kümmernis Chapel was built from 1857-1864 with voluntary contributions from residents of Burghausen and the surrounding area in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Wilgefortis, who had previously been venerated here under the name of St. Kümmernis.

The climb to the chapel is quite steep. But from the access path you have a beautiful view of Burghausen and the mountains if you look through the leaves.
