Attention: If you come hiking from south to L'Estartit, Komoot might lead you through the river, but depending on the season and weather conditions it might not be possible to cross. I made it in April, the water got up to my calves, and that was when it hadn't rained much lately. Alternatively you will have to walk till Torroella (about 2 hours) to cross the river by bridge.

I was there in April 2022. I gave up wading through when the water came up to my navel. The detour via Tornella is long and not very varied.
