was erected in 1916 in front of the district court in Zeitz. Hermann Thieme donated this monument in memory of the battles during the wars of liberation in Zeitz. The creator of the monument was the sculptor Walther Schmarje. The monument was erected in front of the town hall in Berlin-Zehlendorf in 1930.
In Zeitz, in its place there is now a work by the artist Joachim Hering, who took up the drummer figure but reinterpreted it. st.museum-digital.de/object/13495
