Spectacular view and not impossible climb, only the last stretch is a bit tough!!

    Mountain biking

Monte Faudo is easily doable both uphill and downhill with a gravel bike. I recommend going up from Dolcedo, or Civezza, arriving in both cases at S. Brigida, because it is less steep. The descent from the side of Monte Follia towards the Taggia valley is less clean, but this too is done with a gravel.

Great views from seashore to Alps.
Peak is spoiled due lots of TLC antennas towers.
Included in path 707 "tour del Faudo". Better way from Santa Brigida up to the top, as the descent to Cipressa is quite rocky.

Ascent to Monte Faudo - ring tour

    680m

Embark on the Ascent to Monte Faudo ring tour, a moderate hike spanning 7.0 miles (11.2 km) with a significant elevation gain of 2235 feet (681 metres), typically completed in 4 hours and 2 minutes. The route winds through diverse terrain, from gravel and natural paths to cobblestone mule tracks and rocky sections. As you climb, you will pass through chestnut and pine forests, high-altitude meadows, and Mediterranean scrub. From the summit, you are treated to breathtaking 360-degree views of the Ligurian coast, the sea, and the surrounding Ligurian Alps, with the Gulf of Genoa and even Corsica visible on clear days.

Prepare for a challenging yet rewarding experience; this moderate hike requires good fitness and sure-footedness due to its steep ascents and varied terrain. The trail features some narrow and steep sections, particularly on the ascent to the summit. If you visit in spring, you might encounter flowering gorse and wild orchids along the way. Given the duration, it is advisable to start your hike earlier in the day to allow ample time to enjoy the views.

The Monte Faudo area is renowned for being one of the most panoramic points in Western Liguria, offering views that stretch from the French Riviera to Tuscany. While the summit features a cross, you will also notice numerous radio and telecommunications antennas in the immediate vicinity. Along the route, you might discover historical elements such as the medieval Chapel of Santa Brigida, built in 1425, or pass through picturesque mountain villages like Pietrabruna. The diverse ecosystems make it a rich area for observing local flora and fauna.
