Mallowdale Bridge carries a small road across the river Roeburn. This bridge was built in 1967 after the previous bridge was washed away in a sever flood event that destroyed many homes, farms, bridges and buildings in Roeburn Dale.
The surrounding countryside and path network is a pleasure to walk, look out for the bluebells which carpet the river side woodland in spring.
