The Refuge du Pavé is the actual construction hut for the "new" hut, which has probably already been demolished by an avalanche.
The building is about to burst, but it's simply quaint and the landlady at the time was fantastic!
The landscape/mountain world all around is spectacular!

Real highmountain REFUGE. Very basic, but very relaxed athmosphere between mountainneers and hikers. Very friendly Gardiens.
