Whether at Easter or around Christmas - the giant window sill in Auerbach is seasonally and impressively decorated.
The municipality of Auerbach is also known as the Erzgebirge “Fansterbratl” village (window board village). The Fansterbratl is based on a centuries-old tradition from the Advent season. So in the houses the space between the double windows was decorated with small illuminated buildings, figures, trees and other objects.
Since 2003 there has been a "giant fan roast" opposite the municipal office, which is decorated at Christmas and Easter.
