Hiking
As early as 1844, the inhabitants of the district of Hempel had extensive legal disputes with the new mill owners from Alt Georgswalde over the water of the Rittersbach.

Hiking
Vast country, typical Upper Lusatia landscape. May - June the creek is full of white flowers swaying in the waves. If you want to walk along the water, you need good shoes and you have to do without paths from time to time. A trip to the "Schluckenauer Zipfel" is worthwhile.
