The “Wirtshaus am Stein” was already a popular destination 250 years ago because “the Steinerwirth” had a license to “Reyhen und Danzen”. Today the former restaurant with mill, miller's house and post exchange station belongs to the ensemble in Odenthal-Stein, where the model maker Günter Blömer runs the “Steiner Wind and Water Museum”. In 1539 a document states that the “Mill of the Stone” was built “before people remembered”. At the beginning of the 1940s, the last miller ceased operations, and in 2010 a full-size mill wheel was installed again.

Check it out yourself! In addition to the model of the Altenberg Cathedral in its earlier state, I was impressed by the Palatinate Grafenstein, a ship-shaped castle in the middle of the Rhine near Kaub in the Middle Rhine Valley. I think a ship-shaped castle like a message in a bottle is a really good idea! stadtkonfetti.de/home/articles/achtung-geheimtipp-das-wind-und-wassermuseum-in-odenthal

A great little museum, not only feel a model of Altenberg Cathedral, a Chinese mill, model ships and carriages! Actually always open!
