The late Romanesque church of St. Vitus is considered one of the oldest churches in Franconia and dates back to the 12th century. A relief on the church door depicts the martyr Vitus praying in a cauldron of hot oil. There is a war memorial in the forecourt of the church.

The village has historic half-timbered houses, stone field crosses and rock cellars in the sandstone hill. In the Mauschendorf part of the community is the listed restaurant Zur Jägersruh, one of the oldest restaurants in the district.
