Lakeside of Scandarello Lake, Conche Side

As you hike, you will observe the artificial Lake Scandarello, situated at an elevation of 868 meters above sea level, and its impressive 55-meter-high dam. This dam, built in 1924, holds a compelling piece of history; it was targeted for destruction by retreating Nazi troops in 1944 but was heroically saved by 27 local partisans. The area also features shady beech woods, adding to the natural beauty of your surroundings.
