Along with Weimar-Buchenwald and Oranienburg-Sachsenhausen, the small Brandenburg village of Jamlitz is the third historical site in East Germany where a Nazi concentration camp was used as a Soviet special camp after 1945. The second-largest satellite camp of Sachsenhausen concentration camp was located there. On the former camp grounds in Jamlitz, two open-air exhibitions provide information about the Lieberose subcamp and the Soviet special camp No. 6 Jamlitz.
The documentation centers in Jamlitz are open year-round.
