The old town of Obernai has a double aspect
Surrounded by fortifications.
The inner curtain wall (1400 m long, with around 20 towers and
4 gates) was built around 1282, and the outer one (with around 12 towers
and 4 Torenl at the beginning of the 14th century. built.
