In Gemünda you will find very beautiful preserved half-timbered houses. The Roter Ochse inn is located in the center of the village. There you can get good food in a cozy atmosphere. Gemünda is on the WOM cycle path, but you can either continue to follow the WOM cycle path in the direction of Bad Rodach or continue to Maroldsweisach via Authenhausen, Gleismuthhausen, Käßlitz, i.e. use the Hassberge-Rodachtal cycle path to get to the Hassberge area .

Gemünda is about twelve kilometers west of Coburg in the area where the Kreck flows into the Rodach. The district boundary corresponds in the north-east to the Bavarian state border with Thuringia. State road 2204 from Sesslach to Autenhausen runs through the town. The Gehegsmühle is located on the Rodach about two kilometers northeast of Gemünda, on the border with Thuringia.
