Jijisugi ("Grandpa Cedar" in Japanese) is a National Natural Monument that has lived for over 1000 years. A shimenawa rope circles it, signifying the presence of a divine force inside the tree. Behind the tree, you can spot Mt. Haguro's Five-Storied Pagoda.
