The Hinterbergkofel remains significantly quieter than the well-visited Rote Wand, and you can also linger there nicely (meadow plateau). On a clear day, the view reaches far into the Dolomites (you can even guess the Sextner Dolomites with their 3 Zinnen) + to the Venediger Group - it is absolutely recommendable.
Only the annoying last ascent over the scree field remains unavoidable 😅
