The mill operation ran until the middle of the 20th century before it was finally closed, and in the 1970s the large bakery that had meanwhile been established on the site also closed its doors.
The time of the self-managed company ASH Krebsmühle, which emerged from the so-called "alternative movement" and specialized in the restoration and sale of antiques and farmhouse furniture, began.
