On November 8, 1863, the new neo-Gothic brick church was inaugurated. Only the old, well-fortified tower remains standing, but it also has its two slate-covered peaks.

The St. Trinitatis Church in the old district of Lewe was first mentioned in a document in 1305. The oldest part of the building is the church tower.
Due to the increasing number of parishioners, e.g. due to the merger with Liebenburg, the old church building became too small in the 19th century, so that a new building of the nave became necessary. The ceremonial inauguration of the neo-Gothic building took place in November 1863.
On the other side you can admire the imposing vicarage, in whose former barn the cultural association "Lewer Däle e.V." has been based since 2009.
