The M.Altissimo is the watershed between Borno and Valcamonica. The direct ascent is quite steep in places, but can be softened by using alternative roads, lengthening the route. Once the summit is reached with the eponymous refuge, which is also the arrival point of the chairlift, it is possible to continue on the opposite side until reaching the cross. Lake Iseo is clearly visible from the cross.
