Hiking

The forest fire trail in Tyresta National Park leads through the area that was heavily affected by the major forest fire in 1999. Traces of the fire can still be seen along the path today, while at the same time impressively showing how the forest has naturally regenerated over decades. The section is particularly exciting because it vividly conveys how fire changes the forest landscape and at the same time creates new habitats.
