The Dhaulagiri Base Camp is located at the Chhanbardan Glacier at an altitude of 4,740 m. There are several other Base Camps located in the vicinity of Dhaulagiri I, i.e., Italian Base Camp at 3,660 m, American Base Camp at 3,660 m, Swiss Base Camp at 3,845 m, and Japanese Base Camp at 4,300 m.
