You stop suddenly when you pass the ponds in the area of the former Knippertz mill. Especially when the green tones of the closed duckweed ceiling shimmer in all shades in the sunlight: Fifty Shades of Green, so to speak!!!
Except where huge coypu's lumber - or have we actually seen their big cousins, the beavers, with their tree trunk burrows? - make their way through the green. At the edge of the ponds are trees whose thousands of branched branches protrude back into the water, almost like mangroves in Florida.
