The community center built in 1967 was brought up to date for around 400,000 euros. The renovation was subsidized by the state with 66 percent. "The village community center in need of renovation no longer met today's energetic level and modern requirements," said Beckmeyer. "You can improvise for a while, but at some point there is no getting around a big solution." That is why the Estorf council decided to renovate the old house as a multifunctional village community center.
