Crowland Abbey was a monastery of the Benedictine Order, but was entirely destroyed in 866, following this it has been rebuilt and destroyed a number of times. It is now still in use as a Parish Church.

Beautiful Abbey (called an Abbey but actually a now a Parish Church) in the heart of Crowland. Originally founded in the early in the eighth century the Abbey has been destroyed and rebuilt multiple times. It's open to visitors every day from 8.30am until 4pm.
