The path from the Theresienklause to Ettenberg leads gently uphill through the forest above the gorge. A few meters after leaving the forest, you pass an old farm that serves as "Lorenzhof" for the ZDF series Lena Lorenz. Continue through the forest to the Maria Heimsuchung pilgrimage church on the Ettenberg. The small church, together with the adjoining inn and the Untersberg towering behind it, form a well-known motif. There are several variants for the descent. The steep climb leads in numerous serpentines down into the forest above the Kugelmühle.
