In 1910 a clever farmer called Gustav Johnson got an idea that he wanted to build a waterfall by this small river. In 1920s he made his idea a reality. He made a dam that flowed over an edge that is 8m high.
He also raised a turbine driven sawmill and a grinder. The place was active until about the 1940s.
It’s a good place to have a break during hiking. With access to water and a waterfall to entertain your thought.
