The parish church of St. Alexander, named after Pope Alexander, the martyr and bishop of Rome in 107 - 116, was built in 1495. However, it is obvious that there was already a church before that, because between 1460 and 1470 the barons of Gemmingen received the right to dispose of the church and the right to allocate the clergyman's benefices.
