    Hiking

A charming way to cross the River Doe, these stepping stones are just to the north of Ingleton Quarry. Regardless of its fine surroundings, and the fact it collects the runoff from two of Yorkshire's most iconic hills, the Doe is an extremely short-lived river. It joins the River Twiss at Ingleton, where it becomes the River Greta. The Greta later joins the River Lune, which empties into the Irish Sea to the south west of Lancaster.
