Cycling
The Kalmthoutse Heide covers an enormous area, consisting of many different forests, heaths and plains. You can walk endlessly and get lost. There are no fewer than 26 walking routes, several cycling routes and bridleways, all of which are very different. From sliding through wet, swamp-like landscapes, to large sandy expanses where you have to walk through the deep, soft sand, which makes a hike much harder. Parking is always free and can be found all around the area
