The bust of Heinrich Heine is located on a small roundabout consisting of flowers and benches. Heine was secretly baptized as a Protestant in Heiligenstadt in 1825. The park owes its name to him and sculptor Werner Löwe created a special bronze sculpture in honor of the great poet.

Heinrich Heine was baptized as an adult, a Protestant in the staunchly Catholic Eichsfeld region. The reasons for this were, however, rather mundane. H.H., who came from a Jewish family, expected his conversion to Christianity to improve his professional and social prospects. His bust here in the spa gardens is expressive and very well done.
