In 1914, the design of the post office was announced by architect Miguel Angel Navarro. A while later, in 1915, the construction of the Palacio de Correos y Telégrafos started. Seven years later the building was finished, but it was not immediately put into use. It was not until 1923 that the building was inaugurated as a post office.

A very beautiful building from the outside, but certainly also from the inside. You can view part of it through the main entrance. Very worthwhile.
